Notice: Ann Duffy {née Meehan}, of Chestnut Grove, Carrickmacross, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Bridget, as well as her sisters Kathleen Meehan and May Lynn. Ann will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her husband Hubert and children Thomas {Paula}, Gráinne {Francis Halligan}, Annette {John Stafford}, and Hugh {Libby}. She is also survived by her sister Eileen {Lewis}, cherished grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. May she rest in peace.
A private funeral will be held at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home in Carrickmacross on Wednesday, July 26, from 3pm until 8pm. On Thursday, July 27, Ann’s funeral cortège will depart from her home at Chestnut Grove, making its way on foot via the Bridewell and Main Street to St. Joseph’s Church in Carrickmacross.
