Anne Prendiville, also known as Anne Counihan, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Cork, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Lisheenbawn, Farranfore, Co. Kerry, with previous ties to Castleisland and West End, Rathmore. Anne was predeceased by her parents Tim and Mollie Counihan of Rathmore, as well as her beloved granddaughter Jessica. She will be deeply missed by her husband Eamonn, her children Morag, Edgar, Ita, and Rachael, as well as her sons-in-law John O’Neill and John McCarthy, and Ita’s partner Paul. Edgar’s partner Caroline and her six adored grandchildren, Evelyn, Gavin, Poppi, Michael, Lucas, and Seanie, also mourn her loss. She is survived by her sister Eileen Kelliher, brother Michael Counihan, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, special cousin Collette Carmody, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and a large circle of friends.

The wake will be held at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Church Street, Castleisland on Friday evening from 8pm to 9:30pm. The funeral will take place at Castleisland Parish Church on Saturday morning, with Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Kilbanivane Cemetery, Castleisland.
