In her 95th year, Annette passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at Galway University Hospital on Sunday, 20 August, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Seán and the cherished mother of the late Keith, who passed away in 2020. Annette was also the sister of the late Rita, Helena, and Eamonn.
May they find joy in their reunion.
Annette is mourned and will be greatly missed by her surviving son Alan and daughter Yvette. She was a loving mother-in-law to Joe Quinn and had two daughters-in-law, Sarah and Laurenda. Annette adored her grandchildren Andrea, Stephen, Georgia, Katie {New York}, Leah, Róisín, and Aoibheann. She also leaves behind her sisters Marie and Dymphna, brothers Martin and P.J. {Canada}, as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, including John McGinley, other relatives, and friends, especially Anna.
Visitation will take place at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue {H91V1K8} on Tuesday, 22 August, starting at 5 p.m. The removal will be held at 6.30 p.m. to St. Joseph’s Church, Presentation Road. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Annette on Wednesday, 23 August, at 11 a.m. After the Mass, she will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Bohermore. The family kindly requests no flowers, but donations to the Galway Hospice are welcome.
