Barry O’Rourke

Notice: Barry O’Rourke, known as “Montini”, passed away unexpectedly on June 23rd, 2023, at University College Hospital in Galway. He was a resident of both Sligo and Los Angeles, USA. Barry was preceded in death by his father Noel, and more recently his mother Bernie and brother Noel. He leaves behind a devastated sister Anne, brother Brian, brother-in-law Donald, adored niece Mariella, aunt, cousins, neighbors, and a large circle of friends.

A solemn Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, at 11.30am in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo, followed by burial at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo. Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on http://www.sligocathedral.ie for those who cannot attend in person. The family requests privacy and has set their homes as strictly private.
