Bernadette {Bernie} Lynch{née Clarke}

Notice: Bernadette {Bernie} Lynch, a resident of Carrigabruise, Virginia, Co. Cavan, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023. The Mater Hospital in Dublin served as the place where she spent her final moments, surrounded by her loved ones. She was previously of Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, and was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Kathleen, and brothers TM and Gerry. Bernie is survived by her husband, Pauge, daughter Alison, and son Stephen, as well as her siblings, children-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A visitation was held at Clarke’s Funeral Home in Bailieborough on May 19. Bernie’s funeral took place on May 20 at St. Matthew’s Church in Maghera, followed by her burial. Family flowers were requested to be the sole offering. In lieu of flowers, donations were suggested to the Irish Cancer Society via https://www.cancer.ie/ways-to-help/donate c/o any funeral director or family member.

On May 19, the family hosted a visitation at Clarke’s Funeral Home in Bailieborough from 5pm-8pm, followed by Bernie’s funeral at St. Matthew’s Church in Maghera on May 20, with burial thereafter in the adjoining cemetery. The family requested donations in Bernie’s name, instead of flowers, to the Irish Cancer Society.
