Bernadette {Detta} WHYTE {née McCorry}

Notice: Bernadette {Detta} Whyte, a resident of Rathfarnham, Dublin and Blacklion, Co Cavan, passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph [Joe] and the cherished mother of Patricia, Joseph, Séamus, Brian, and Caroline. Bernadette was also adored as a grandmother by Aidan, Emma, Daragh, Cian, Ciara, Shane, Matthew, Hannah, Harper, and Hudson. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, sons-in-law John and Enda, daughters-in-law Danny, Tara, and Bootz, as well as her siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors.

Bernadette’s funeral will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Ballinteer, followed by a service at Newlands Cross Crematorium. Her family has requested that attendees wear a bit of color instead of all black. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association or the Asthma Society of Ireland.
