Notice: Breege Loughnane {formerly Johnston} passed away on August 6th, 2023 at the Mater Hospital in Dublin after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. She was preceded in death by her son William, granddaughter Sharon, parents Dominic and Rose, brother Tom, and sisters Maureen and Rose. Breege will be deeply missed by her devastated family, especially her beloved husband Billy, sons Mark and David, daughters Rachel and Charlotte, daughters-in-law Carol and Kathleen, sons-in-law David and Michael, cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Dominic and Paul, sisters Philomena, Barbara, and Jacqueline, as well as extended family, neighbors, and a wide circle of friends.

A private viewing will be held at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home in Cavan on Wednesday evening, with prayers concluding at 7pm. On Thursday morning, her remains will be transported on foot from her residence in Fairview to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim in Cavan for the Funeral Mass at noon. Burial will follow at Cullies Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the parish website at http://www.cavantownparish.com/webcam.
