Notice: Brendan Lawler, a resident of Clondalkin, Dublin, and formerly of Ballsbridge, passed away on May 8, 2023, in the presence of his wife, Marcella, and their five daughters after a brief illness. Lawler served as the chaplain of Mount Temple school for 35 years. Prior to this, he worked at Newtown School in Waterford. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his five daughters, Leah, Hillelah, Beulah, Thea, and Talitha, as well as his sister, Finola, half-siblings, Jonathan and Jackie, and all his Lavin, O’Beirne and Lawler relatives. Lawler’s Quaker funeral will be held at the Rathfarnham Meeting House on May 12 at 11 am, followed by interment at Goldenbridge Cemetery.
Brendan Lawler passed away in Dublin on May 8 at the age of 70 after a short illness. He was survived by his wife, Marcella, and his five daughters. Lawler was the chaplain of Mount Temple school, where he spent 35 happy years before his retirement. He was previously employed at Newtown School in Waterford. A Quaker funeral service will be held for Lawler at the Rathfarnham Meeting House on May 12, followed by a burial at Goldenbridge Cemetery. Lawler’s daughter described him as “a wonderful dad who will be truly missed by all who knew him.” He was deeply cherished by his family and will be missed by his relatives and friends.
