Notice: Brendan Lawler, who spent 35 wonderful years as the chaplain of Mount Temple School, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2023. He was in the presence of his adoring wife of many years, Marcella, and their five daughters, Leah, Hillelah, Beulah, Thea, and Talitha. Previously, he worked at Newtown School in Waterford before moving on to Mount Temple School.
There will be a Quaker funeral held on Friday, May 12th, at 11 am in Rathfarnham Meeting House, followed by burial at Goldenbridge Cemetery. In addition to his beloved wife and daughters, Brendan is deeply mourned and missed by his siblings and all of his relatives.
The quote “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it” is an apt reflection of Brendan’s life and legacy. He was a cherished friend, beloved family member, and respected colleague, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
