Notice: Bridgie O’Carroll, formerly known as Bridgie Breen, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2023, at Áras Mhuire Nursing Home in Listowel, surrounded by her loved ones and caretakers. She is survived by her husband Thomas, sons Gerard, Paul, and Brian, daughters-in-law Dominique, Claudette, and Myra, grandchildren Kilian, Dale, Tadhg, Saoirse, Yann, and Lucca, and her sister Phil in the UK. Bridgie was predeceased by her parents John and Hannah, as well as her brothers Mick, Jack, Ned, Paddy, and sisters Joan Nell, Liz, Noreen, Maureen, and Teresa. She will be dearly missed by her extended family, neighbors, and dear friends.
There will be a viewing at Lynch’s Funeral Home in Ballybunion on August 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Bridgie’s funeral procession will depart from her son Brian’s home in Gortnaskeha for a Requiem Mass at St John’s Church in Ballybunion at 11:00 am on August 7. She will be laid to rest immediately following the Mass in Killehenny cemetery.
