Bridgie O’Carroll {formerly Breen}, a resident of Gortnaskeha, Ballybunion and formerly of Gullane, Asdee, Co. Kerry, peacefully passed away on August 4th, 2023 at Áras Mhuire Nursing Home in Listowel. She was surrounded by her family and caregivers. Bridgie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hannah, as well as her brothers Mick, Jack, Ned, and Paddy, and sisters Joan Nell, Liz, Noreen, Maureen, and Teresa.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Thomas, her sons Gerard, Paul, and Brian, her daughters-in-law Dominique, Claudette, and Myra, her grandchildren Kilian, Dale, Tadhg, Saoirse, Yann, and Lucca, her sister Phil in the UK, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbors, and dear friends.
A gathering will be held at Lynch’s Funeral Home in Ballybunion on Sunday, August 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Bridgie’s funeral procession will depart from her son Brian’s home in Gortnaskeha for a Requiem Mass at St John’s Church in Ballybunion on Monday, August 7th at 11:00 am. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest in Killehenny cemetery.
