Notice: “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carmel Murphy on March 10th, 2024, after a long battle with illness. Surrounded by her family and well cared for at Cork University Hospital, Carmel {née O’Callaghan}, beloved wife of Jim, mother of Alan, Ken, and Angela {Kirby}, and cherished grandmother of Gavin, Graham, Grace, Alex, Jenny, and Andrew, has left a void in the lives of her loved ones. She will be missed dearly by her family, including daughters-in-law Linda and Rose, son-in-law Chris, sister Eileen, nephew Tony, and extended family, friends, and neighbors. A gathering to pay respects will be held at Temple Hill Funeral Home on March 13th, followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Passage West, Co. Cork, on March 14th, with funeral services to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St.Claire’s ward at St.Finbarr’s Hospital are appreciated. Please share your condolences for the family below.
