Notice: The death of Carmel Wilmot {formerly known as Carmel Keane}, who resided in Monivea, Co. Galway and previously in Kill and Naas, Co. Kildare, has sadly occurred. She passed away peacefully in University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family. Carmel will be deeply missed by her daughter Meghan and son-in-law Alan, her brother Tony, sisters Mary and Brenda, brother-in-law Tommy, as well as her extended family, friends, and neighbors. The exceptional care and compassion provided by the wonderful staff of St. Joseph’s Ward in University Hospital Galway throughout Carmel’s illness are greatly appreciated. Let us all pray for Carmel’s eternal rest.
Her remains will be reposed at the home of her sister Mary at 7 Glendara, Kill, Co. Kildare {W91 E8N9}, on Sunday from 5pm. The funeral will take place on Monday morning, with Requiem Mass at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, Kill, followed by the burial at Newlands Cross Crematorium. The family kindly requests no flowers, and instead, donations may be made to the Irish Cancer Society, if desired.
