The passing has occurred of Carmel Wilmot {formerly known as Carmel Keane}, who resided in Monivea, Co. Galway. She was previously from Kill and Naas, Co. Kildare. Carmel peacefully departed in University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her dear family. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Meghan and son-in-law Alan, as well as her brother Tony, sisters Mary and Brenda, brother-in-law Tommy, and all her extended family, friends, and neighbors. We express heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff of St. Joseph’s Ward in University Hospital Galway for the extraordinary care and empathy they extended to Carmel during her illness.
Reposing will take place at the residence of her sister Mary, located at 7 Glendara, Kill, Co. Kildare {W91 E8N9}, starting from 5pm on Sunday. The funeral will be held on Monday morning, commencing with a Requiem Mass at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, Kill, followed by her interment at Newlands Cross Crematorium. We kindly request that only family flowers be sent and any desired donations be made to the Irish Cancer Society.
