It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Burke {nee McGrath}, a resident of Rushden Close, Southways, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, and formerly of Ballycreen, Ring, Co. Waterford. Catherine peacefully passed away on 19th August 2023, and she was the cherished wife of the late Francis Burke. She was also the daughter of the late Jack and Mary McGrath, and the beloved sister of the late Ollie and her twin sister Maura.

Catherine will be greatly missed by her loving sons Gerard and Robert, daughters Helena Doey and Catherine Fadden, brothers Tony, Sean and Munchin, sisters Helen Joyce, Pat McCarthy, Bridget Landers and Claire Dee, daughters-in-law Rebecca and Samantha, sons-in-law Lawrence Doey and Gary Fadden, and her adoring grandchildren Alex, Lucy, Ella, Joe, Tom, Sian, Louis, Louise, Matthew and Mollie. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Anthony Landers and John Dee, sisters-in-law Eileen Burke, Sheila, Mary and Bernie McGrath, numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and friends who will deeply mourn her loss.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Lying in repose at Aidan Walsh and Sons Funeral Home Cappoquin on Wednesday evening, 23rd August, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday morning, 24th August, at 11:00 am, at St. John the Baptist Church, Affane.

Following the Mass, Catherine will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
