Byrne {formerly of Shanaway, Ballineen, Co. Cork and late of Slieve Mish Park, Kinsale Road, Cork} On August 10th 2023, Catherine {nee Nyhan}, beloved wife of the late Liam, peacefully passed away unexpectedly in Cork University Hospital at the age of 90. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother to Anthony, Jim, and Geraldine and a sister to the late John, Charlie, Pat, Willie, James, and Ellen. She will be deeply missed by her family, including daughter-in-law Diana, son-in-law Michael, cherished grandchildren Hadley, Matthew, and Noah, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
May her soul find eternal rest.
The visitation will take place at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Turners Cross on Sunday, August 13th, from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. The Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, August 14th, at 11.00am in the Church of the Assumption, Ballyphehane. The Mass can be viewed through the provided link. Following the funeral service, Catherine will be laid to rest in St. Oliver’s Cemetery, Model Farm Road.
