Notice: Catherine Kelly, fondly known as Kate, has passed away peacefully at her home in Cloonelt, Castlerea at the age of 85. She is survived by her loving husband Sean, children Gerard, Carol, Jason, Leo and Shauna, as well as her siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Kate was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary, her husband Peter Jr., and sisters Josie Ryan and Mary Adams.
Kate’s funeral service will commence on Friday, with her remains resting at Gaynor’s Funeral Home at 5 PM before being removed to St. Brigid’s Church in Cloonbonniffe for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Cremation at the Shannon Crematorium follows at 4 PM. Her funeral Mass will be live-streamed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Palliative Care.
Kate Kelly will forever be remembered for her kindness, her selflessness, and her generous spirit to all who knew her. Her demise has left her loved ones in deep sorrow as they celebrate her beautiful life, mourn their loss and come together as a family to say their final goodbyes. Rest in Peace, Kate.
