Peacefully, Catherine passed away on August 20th, 2023, under the kind and gentle care of the staff at Tallaght Hospital. With a distinguished career as a nurse and midwife that took her to various locations including the UK, Texas, Zambia, and Saudi Arabia, Catherine retired from Mater Hospital in Dublin. She is preceded in death by her father, William Kennedy of The Mall, Waterford, her mother, Alice Hughes of Killoe, Longford, and her brother Ciarán. Catherine will be deeply missed by her surviving brothers Michael, William, and Fr Bernard of Enniskerry, as well as her sisters Marie and Deirdre, brother-in-law Michael, relatives, friends, and neighbors. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 25th, 2023, at 10 am in the Church of the Annunciation Rathfarnham, followed by burial at Mount Venus Cemetery.
