Catherine Russell, formerly known as Catherine Regan and hailing from Raheny, Dublin and Cloonsuck, Castlerea County Roscommon, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2023, in the nurturing care of the Beaumont Hospital staff. She was surrounded by her beloved family and will be profoundly missed by her children: Gene, Elaine, Tom, Damien, and Ann-Marie. Catherine’s sons-in-law Cormac and Andrew, daughters-in-law Justine, Ciara, and Lynda, as well as her grandchildren Steffi, Izzy, Oisín, Caoimhe, Fiachra, Conor, Jodie, Scott, TJ, Josh, Lucy, Saoirse, and Tadhg, also mourn her loss. Additionally, she leaves behind her brother Paddy, sister Mary, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The viewing will take place at Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, Raheny, on Thursday afternoon, August 10, from 3pm to 5pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday morning at the Church of St. Monica, Edenmore, commencing with the Mass at 10am. Following the Mass, Catherine’s cremation will occur at Dardistown Crematorium.
