Notice: Chris O’Callaghan of The Miles, Clonakilty passed away on May 10th, 2023 at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice in Cork. He had been surrounded by his family after dealing with a brief illness. Chris was the beloved son of the late Daniel and Nellie O’Callaghan, and loving brother of Donal, Bernie, Marian, and Teresa. He will be fondly remembered by his brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, work colleagues and a large circle of friends.
A Prayer service will be held at his home on May 12th, and the Reception into the Church of the Immaculate Conception will be on May 13th. His Requiem Mass will be livestreamed via http://www.clonakiltyparish.ie/live. Chris will be interred in St. Mary’s Cemetery later that day. Family flowers are requested, and those wishing to make a donation may do so to the Marymount University Hospital and Hospice.
