Christy {Christopher} Coy

Notice: Christopher Coy, also known as Christy, has passed away at the age of 101. He died peacefully in Carechoice Nursing Home in Trim, Co. Meath, where he had been cared for by wonderful staff. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, sister and brother. He is survived by his daughter Ann, son-in-law Gerard, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Christy’s remains will be laid in repose at Kilboy’s Funeral Home in Loughrea on Sunday, 28th May, from 5 pm to 7 pm. The funeral cortege will arrive at St Dympna’s Church in Kilnadeema the following day on Monday, 29th May, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The family has expressed thanks to all friends, neighbours and extended family for the kindness and help they have received. In lieu of flowers, they ask for donations to be made in memory of Christy to the NCBI.

In the peaceful passing of Christy Coy, his family, friends and extended community have lost a kind and beloved member. The 101-year-old had predeceased his wife Nancy, but left behind a daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family, as well as many friends and neighbours to mourn his loss. He passed away peacefully in Carechoice Nursing Home, where the staff was noted for their wonderful care. His remains were laid in repose at Kilboy’s Funeral Home before being brought for Requiem Mass at St Dympna’s Church, Kilnadeema, Monday 29th May. Donations in lieu of flowers were requested by the family in support of the NCBI.
