Notice: On 20th July 2023, Christy Murphy passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family and in the care of the staff at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. Christy, originally from Farranree and formerly of Blarney Street, will be greatly missed by his wife Irene and their daughters Irene, Marie, Diane, Laura, and Rose, as well as his grandchildren, siblings, and extended family members. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, July 25th, beginning with a Requiem Mass at 1:00pm in the Church of the Most Precious Blood in Clogheen, followed by burial at St. Mary’s New Cemetery in Currraghkippane. May he rest in peace.
