Formerly of Dublin, the grandson of Peadar Kearney, who penned “Amhrán na bhFiann.”

He passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Eva, Bríd, Pearse, and Peadar, as well as his sisters-in-law Eileen and Jean, brother-in-law Martin, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and close friends.

Visitation will be held at his home in Curragreen, Galway, on Wednesday, January 10th from 4pm to 7pm. A humanistic ceremony will be conducted at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin {H91CK84} on Thursday, January 11th at 11am, followed by burial at The New Cemetery, Bohermore.
