Declan POWER

Notice: Declan Power, a beloved husband and father of three, passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2023, after a short battle with illness. He was surrounded by his family and closest friends at Wicklow Hospice following their care and support. Declan was remembered as a loving and devoted father to his children, Cianán, Ario, and Éibhín. He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken wife Sarah and his dear friends at Presentation College, Bray.

An intimate and private ceremony with a blessing of farewell was held to honor Declan’s memory, followed by cremation. The family expressed their gratitude to the many consultants, doctors, and nurses from St Vincent’s Hospital for their tremendous effort and care to help Declan fight his cancer. They also made a special mention of the support provided by Damon, Roisin, and Hillary throughout their time of need.

The family has requested that any donations be made to Wicklow Hospice in Declan’s memory. They expressed their deep gratitude to everyone at the hospice who helped in every way, providing them with endless compassion, understanding, and love. Declan’s passing touched the hearts of all those who knew him, but his memory will live on through the impact he had on the lives of those who loved him.
