Notice: Denis Murphy, a resident of Killard, Blarney and formerly of Kerry Pike, Cork, passed away unexpectedly on July 25th, 2023, after a short illness. He was surrounded by his loving family at the Cork University Hospital. Denis was the beloved husband of Philomena {née Crowley} and the cherished father of Deirdre, Brian, and Denis. He was also adored by his grandchildren Ciarán, Jack, Rachel, Julie, and Brian. Denis was the dear brother of Eileen Daly, and was predeceased by his sister Ann Nestor.
Denis will be greatly missed by his wife, children, daughter-in-law Evelyn, brother-in-laws Tom and Michael, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends. His remains will be at his residence in Eircode T23 PW08 on Friday, July 28th, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. A Requiem Mass will be held at 12.30pm on Saturday, July 29th, at the Church of the Most Precious Blood in Clogheen. Following the Mass, Denis will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s {new} Cemetery, Curraghkippane.
