Notice: Desmond Ennis from Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan passed away peacefully on May 7th after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife, Mildred {Milly}, children, Bernice, sisters, brothers, uncle, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Desmond’s care was provided by his family and the staff of Cavan General Hospital. A funeral service will take place at Tomregan Parish Church, Ballyconnell, on May 10th at 2 pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Cavan Alzheimer’s Association. Desmond will be resting at Castlemanor Nursing Home Oratory on May 8th from 4 pm – 8 pm and on May 9th at his residence in Tumbelin from 5 pm – 8 pm.
Desmond Ennis, passed away peacefully on May 7th, after his courageous and dignified battle with a long illness. Desmond was surrounded with loving care from his family, before his passing at Cavan General Hospital. Desmond left behind an adoring family, including his wife, Mildred, and their children, Bernice, Scott, and Rebecca. Desmond’s funeral will be held at Tomregan Parish Church, Ballyconnell on May 10th after which he will be buried in the adjoining churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cavan Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated, and Desmond’s family is requesting privacy for their grieving during non-reposing hours. Desmond will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the community.
