Notice: Dorothy Elizabeth Gillespie {née Cuffe} of Mount Prospect, Knockvicar, Boyle, Co. Roscommon, passed away peacefully on July 29th, 2023. She was surrounded by her devoted husband and family at Abbey Haven Nursing Home in Boyle. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved son Andrew Ernest, sister-in-law Nuala, and brother-in-law Jim. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband David, sons Hugh, Miles, and Ian, daughters Vida and Fiona, their partners Wendy, Carol, Wendy, Craig, Rob, and Margaret, as well as her brothers Neville, Wesley, and Orville, sister-in-law Pauline, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, and numerous friends. Dorothy will be laid to rest at St. Beide’s Church in Ardcarn on Monday, July 31st, following a Funeral Service at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ardcarn Church Repair Fund.
Dorothy Elizabeth Gillespie {née Cuffe} peacefully passed away on July 29th, 2023 at Abbey Haven Nursing Home in Boyle, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her adoring husband David and children Hugh, Miles, Ian, Vida, and Fiona, along with their partners and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was sadly predeceased by her son Andrew Ernest, sister-in-law Nuala, and brother-in-law Jim. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 31st, at St. Beide’s Church in Ardcarn, followed by burial in the adjacent cemetery.
