Dr. Ellen T Sheeran{née Duffy}

Notice: Ellen, previously of Bearna and Great Crosby, Liverpool, passed away peacefully at her home in Cottingham on May 15, 2023, aged 93, with her family at her side. Ellen was a much-loved wife of the late Eddie and a precious mother of Thomas, Padraig, Rachael, Anthony, Helen, and the late Edmund. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and relatives in both Galway and the UK. 

Ellen’s funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 28, with a reception in the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen in Barna at 6 p.m. A requiem mass is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 29, followed by a burial in Knock cemetery, Inverin, lying side by side with her husband and son. The family invites her friends and acquaintances to leave a message of sympathy in the online Book of Condolence, available to sign on a dedicated website. 

Ellen’s demise has left behind a deep loss for her sons and daughters and their families. She lived a long and fruitful life, thoughtfully surrounded by her loved ones and will be fondly remembered for her kind and gentle nature.
