Dr. Francis Xavier Keane

Notice: Dr. Francis Xavier Keane, retired Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine from the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dún Laoghaire, passed away on 13th May 2023 at the Mater Private Hospital. He was surrounded by his family and had previously received the Last Rites. Dr. Keane is survived by his children Miriam and Conrad, grandchildren Sarah, Laura, Niamh, Evan, and Joel, his daughter-in-law Emma, and son-in-law Dermot, as well as cousins, friends, neighbours, and former colleagues. The family will receive condolences at the Massey Bros, Funeral Home on Cabra Road on Thursday, 18th of May from 2 pm to 4 pm, with prayers at 3:30 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday at Christ the King Church in Cabra, followed by a private burial at St. Mochonog’s Cemetery in Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow. Family flowers only, but donations in Dr. Keane’s memory can be made to Merchants Quay Ireland.

Dr. Keane dedicated his life to helping patients with rehabilitation needs. He will be remembered by his loved ones for his kindness, professionalism, and devotion to his work. His death is deeply mourned by his family, colleagues, and patients. Surely, his contribution towards healthcare, especially rehabilitation powerhouses and contributions, will forever remain self-evident.
