Obituary of Barry Connolly – Remembering a Life Well-Lived
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Barry Connolly, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Barry, who formerly resided on Blackrock Road in Cork and later in Glenabo, Fermoy, left this world on October 24th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Cork University Hospital. He is deeply mourned by his children Ray, Aine, Lee, and Dara, as well as his cherished grandchildren Lauren-Mai, Barry, Fiach, Eoin, Caoimh, Noah, and Maisie. He is predeceased by his loving wife Mary, and dearly missed by his brothers Morgan, Tony, and Jack, sister Helen, sisters-in-law Aine, Ann, Dee, Maura, brother-in-law John, sons-in-law Kieran and David, and daughters-in-law Norma and Karen. Barry will also be fondly remembered by his colleagues at Moorepark, Fermoy, and his wide circle of friends.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects to Barry at Ronayne’s Funeral Home in Fermoy on Wednesday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Following the visitation, his remains will be brought to St. Patrick’s Church in Fermoy for a Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11:00am. Upon the conclusion of the service, Barry will be laid to rest in Kilcrumper new cemetery.
