Eileen Kelly {née O’Mahony}

Notice: Eileen Kelly {née O’Mahony} of Emly, Co Tipperary and Dublin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Patrick. Eileen was surrounded by her loving family and the compassionate staff of Elm Green Nursing Home, with special appreciation for her dedicated carers Suzanne and Catherine.

Eileen’s life was characterized by courage, kindness, and a wonderful sense of humor. Her family held a private funeral on Monday, June 26th, 2023 at Glasnevin Cemetery to honor her memory. The funeral arrangements were impeccably handled by Robin Cunningham of Cunninghams Funeral Directors.

She is deeply mourned by her daughters Geraldine and Evelyn, her cherished grandsons Ciarán and Daire, as well as her neighbors and many friends who held a special place in her heart. The Kelly family would like to extend their gratitude to Valerie and Shay for their exceptional assistance in caring for Eileen in her later years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals {DSPCA} in honor of Eileen’s love for animals.
