Eleanor Burns{née MacCarthy}

Notice: Eleanor Burns, formerly of Lismore, County Waterford and Rathcoole, County Cork, passed away on June 1st, 2023 in the care of the Mercy Hospital in Cork. She was predeceased by her son Eugene, brother Justin, and sister Ann. She is survived by her husband Denis, daughter Majella, sons Donal and Noel, brother Donal, sisters Jean, Juliet, and Maria, grandchildren Dean and Robert, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives, and friends. Reposing at Ryans Funeral Home in Lismore on Saturday from 5.30 pm, followed by removal at 7.30 pm to the Saint Carthages Church for the Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11 am, followed by burial in the Saint Carthages Cemetery. Eleanor Burns, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 1st, 2023. She received loving care from the staff of the Mercy Hospital in Cork until her last breath. Eleanor will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by her surviving family, including her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. Her Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Carthages Church in Lismore and viewable on the Lismore Ballysaggart Mass Streaming Facebook link.
