Elizabeth Staunton {née Murphy}

Notice: Elizabeth Staunton, aged 78, peacefully passed away on June 22nd, 2023, at Cork University Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Eamonn and the loving mother of Eamonn and Valerie. Elizabeth was also the sister of Brendan and the recently deceased Michael. She will be greatly missed by her son, daughter, son-in-law Sean, daughter-in-law Margaret, as well as her grandchildren Brooke, Carrie, Shauna, and Keeley. She is also survived by her brother, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends. May she rest in peace.

A public viewing will be held at Crowley’s Funeral Home in Ballincollig on Sunday, June 25th, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, June 26th, at 11:00 am at the Church of St Mary and St John in Ballincollig, which can be viewed online at https://www.churchservices.tv/stmjballincollig. Following the Mass, Elizabeth will be laid to rest in St Oliver’s Cemetery. The family kindly asks for donations to the CUH Charity in lieu of flowers. The funeral will be private, and the family appreciates your understanding during this time.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eamonn and her brother Michael. Her loss will be deeply felt by her extended family, including her siblings-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
