FINBAR CAFFERKEY

Notice: Finbar Cafferkey, aged 45, from Cashel, Achill, Co. Mayo, died on April 19th, 2023, near Bakhmut, Ukraine. Finbar’s friends and family, including parents Tom and Celine, brothers Eamon and Colm, and sisters Maeve and Orla, are devastated by his passing. He was a beloved member of the community who will be deeply missed. A service of remembrance will be held for Finbar on May 12th, 2023, at 6 pm in Ted Lavelle’s function room in Cashel, Achill. The service will be followed by condolences until 8:30 pm. The funeral will take place in the coming months once Finbar’s remains have been repatriated.

In memoriam, Finbar will be remembered for his love of life, family, and friends. He was a person who lived every moment to the fullest and made the most of every opportunity that came his way. His passing is a great loss to the community, who will come together to celebrate his life and mourn his death. Finbar will always be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to live on long after his passing.
