Notice: Father Sean Cooney, Pastor Emeritus of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Winter Park, Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023, on the 64th anniversary of his ordination. Originally from Ballymore, Co. Westmeath, Ireland, he was pre-deceased by his parents, Patrick and Della. Father Sean will be deeply missed by his sister Mairead, brother Pat, sister-in-law Dorothy, nephews, niece, grandnephews, grandniece, cousins, and numerous friends in both the U.S.A. and Ireland. His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 1st, at 12 noon {5pm GMT} in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, followed by interment in Queen of Angels Cemetery, Winter Park, Florida. A live-stream of the Funeral Mass may be available in the future.

He is survived by his sister Mairead, brother Pat, sister-in-law Dorothy, nephews, niece, grandnephews, grandniece, cousins, and many friends across the United States and Ireland. Funeral services will be held on July 1st at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, with interment in Queen of Angels Cemetery, both located in Winter Park, Florida. A live-stream of the Funeral Mass may be available in the future, allowing mourners from near and far to pay their respects. Father Sean Cooney will be remembered for his dedication and years of service to his congregation. May he rest in peace.
