Notice: Francis Connolly passed away peacefully in his daughter Theresa’s home in London. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Josie, and several siblings. Francis is survived by his son Malachy and his daughters Theresa, Marie, and Anne. He is also survived by his brother Tony, son-in-law Trevor, Theresa’s partner Matt, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, followed by a funeral Mass on Tuesday at St. Mels Cathedral. After the Mass, Francis will be laid to rest in Ballymacormack cemetery. The family kindly requests that only family flowers be sent, but donations can be made to the Irish Cancer Society if desired. For those unable to attend in person, the funeral Mass will be streamed live on the Longford Parish website.
