Frank Brennan – Remembering a Life Well-Lived
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Brennan, affectionately known as John Francis, a cherished member of the Somerville, Tramore community.
Originally hailing from Montenotte, Cork, and the bustling streets of London, U.K., Frank peacefully left this world, surrounded by his loving family, at University Hospital Waterford on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
Forever in our thoughts and prayers, may he rest in peace.
Frank’s beloved and heartbroken wife Mary, adoring children Ann and Paul, doting grandchildren Hannah and Luke, supportive son-in-law Ed, caring sisters Alice and Eileen, and devoted brother James are left bereaved by his loss. Frank’s absence will be deeply felt by his nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbors, countless friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The Brennan family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the exceptional staff at UHW for the outstanding care provided to Frank during his illness. Special recognition is also extended to Dr. Finbarr O’Leary and his dedicated team, who have cared for the Brennan family since their move to Tramore.
A Special Mass honoring Frank will be held on Friday, August 11, at 10 am at Holy Cross Church in Tramore. You can join the live stream of Frank’s Mass stream/”>here.
Frank’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, August 12, at 1 pm at St. Andrew’s Church in Kilfinane, Co. Limerick, followed by his burial in the neighboring cemetery.
Starting from his residence in Somerville at approximately 9:40 am, Frank’s funeral cortège will proceed from Tramore Credit Union to Holy Cross Church in Tramore for his Mass at 10 am.
