A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 1pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Straffan, followed by burial in Straffan Cemetery. Anyone wishing to send flowers is asked to send them to the family’s home and not to the Mass. O’Malley will be remembered not for the years he spent on earth, but for the life he lived in them.
Frank O’Malley passed away quietly at his Straffan home, having previously been the owner of O’Malley Construction. Born and raised in Cooliney House in Kilrickle, Loughrea, O’Malley is sadly missed by his children – Myles, Jason, and Dawn – and his grandchildren – Hugo, Myles Jr., Jed, Rafferty, and Luca – as well as daughter-in-law Eilish. Friends and neighbours have expressed their sympathies. A funeral Mass is scheduled for June 7th at St. Brigid’s Church in Straffan, with burial to follow in Straffan Cemetery. No flowers are requested at the service – instead, those who wish to express their condolences should send them to the family’s home. O’Malley will be remembered for the life he lived, not the number of years he spent living it.
