Frederick {Fred} Plant

Notice: Fred, formerly from Barry, Kenagh, passed away peacefully at Thomond Lodge, Ballymahon. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Evelyn, sister Kathleen and brother William. Fred is survived by his sisters Millie and Evelyn, nephew Ian, nieces Colleen and Ann, relatives, close friends and a wide circle of friends.

His funeral arrangements begin with reposing in St George’s Church, Kenagh and prayers on Tuesday, 9th May from 6 pm to 8 pm. This is followed by the funeral service in the same church on Wednesday, 10th May at 2 pm, with the interment to take place in the adjoining churchyard. The death notice ends with the fitting words ‘Resting where no shadows fall’, which reflects the peace and serenity of not only the passing of Fred but the love and care received by him from the nursing staff at Thomond Lodge. Though his passing is distressing for many, they can take solace in the fact that he will always be remembered by his close and wide circle of friends who appreciated his life and rich memories.
