Notice: George McCarthy, late of St. Anne’s Pitch and Putt Club, peacefully passed away on July 29th, 2023, at Ballynoe Nursing Home in Cork, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Teresa and the cherished father of Linda, Geraldine, and the late Michael. George will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, David, Shauna, Michael, George, Ellen, and James, as well as his son-in-law Mick {Murphy}, brothers Michael, Brendan, Denis, and William, and sisters Margaret, Khay, and Ann. He will also be remembered fondly by his extended family and friends.
Reposing at Fordes Funeral Home on Monday, July 31st, from 5.00pm to 6.00pm, a Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 1st, at 11.00am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, The Lough, followed by burial at St. Oliver’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Messages of condolences may be left on the provided link.
