Gerard Francis {Gerry} Merry

Notice: Gerard Francis Merry, also known as Gerry, has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the age of 92. He died at his home in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, under the kind care of his loving family. Merry was formerly from Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny and Hillside Grove, Waterford. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret and the dear father of Marielle, Fiona, Ceppie, and Janadia. Merry was predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Bernie. He is survived by his daughters, sons-in-law, sister Mary, grandchildren, extended family, relatives, and friends. Merry’s parish of St. John the Baptist in Blackrock has announced that they will miss him dearly for his 30 years of faithful service as their Sacristan. The funeral will commence with his reposing on May 10th at the Carnegie Funeral Home and burial of Merry in Shanganagh Cemetery following a funeral mass at Church of St. John the Baptist on May 11th.
