Gerard Garvey

Notice: Garvey Gerard, formerly of Kilkee Co. Clare and late of Hawthorn Way, Esker Hills Portlaoise, passed away peacefully at Tullamore Hospital on May 12th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Senan, Bridie and Teresa, as well as his beloved wife Bernadette. Garvey will be deeply missed by his family in the UK and Portlaoise, including his children Sandra, Christopher and John, and his family in Kilkee and the UK, including Sally, Nuala, Mary, Michael and PJ. He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

The funeral service for Garvey will begin with a rosary at Keegans funeral home in Portlaoise on Monday evening from 6.30-8 pm, followed by a requiem mass at SS Peter and Pauls church on Tuesday at 12 noon. The mass may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. After the mass, Garvey will be laid to rest at SS Peter and Pauls cemetery.
