Notice: Ger Walsh has passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway, following a brief illness. Ger’s siblings Davy, Kevin and Mary were by his side. Ger was pre-deceased by his parents Martin and Mary, and nieces Megan, Katie and Ciara. Ger will be missed by a wide circle of friends, his sister Mary, sister-in-law Bridie, nieces Emer, Lorraine, Hannah and Leah, as well as his aunts and uncles. Reposing at O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Sunday, May 28, the Requiem Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Jesuit Church on Monday, May 29. The family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital Galway and Beaumont Hospital for their care for Ger over the past few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Croí.
