Notice: Gerd Schmitt passed away on May 10th, 2023, at Melview Nursing Home, John Paul Place, Clonmel. Gerd was predeceased by his wife Catherine. He is survived by his loving son Axel, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Gerd’s Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning, May 17th, at 10.30 am. The service will take place at O’Donoghue’s Funeral Home, Kickham Street, Clonmel, with burial following in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Gerd will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He lived a long and fulfilling life and will be remembered for his kind spirit. The Funeral Service is an opportunity for those who knew Gerd to come together to honor his life and share their memories. The family requests that all who attend the service come with love and respect for Gerd’s memory. May he rest in peace.
