Notice: Gerry Joeín Ó Cualáin, a resident of An Spidéal Thiar, Co. na Gaillimhe, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023, in the loving care of his daughters in University Hospital, Galway. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Bríd, brothers Peadar and Michael, and sister Maureen. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Dearbhla and Michelle, their mother Margaret, granddaughter Chloe, brothers Máirtín, Maitiú, and Seáinín, sisters Sadie, Bridie, and Alfreda, as well as relatives, neighbors, and loyal friends.
A visitation will take place at Naughton’s Funeral Home in Knock, Inverin, on July 25 from 6pm to 8pm. Following the visitation, the funeral will proceed to Cill Éinde church in Spiddal. Requiem mass will be held at midday on Wednesday, followed by cremation in Shannon at 3pm. The family kindly requests no flowers and asks for any desired donations to be made to Croí.
