Affectionately known as Jim, James Cummins, aged 54, resided in Eastwood, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, with previous ties to Slyguff, Bagenalstown, and Liverpool, England. Peacefully, on August 5th, 2023, he passed away at The Sacred Heart Hospital in Carlow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary {Nance} {née Cummins}, his sister Fran from Manchester, and his nephew Ian, also from Manchester. He leaves behind his grieving daughter Helen, son Jim, sister Ann from Wales, granddaughters Jessica and Emma, grandsons Ian and Calum, as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Cushen’s Funeral Home, located on Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown {Eircode: R21 V127}, on Tuesday, August 8th, from 2pm until 8pm. His funeral service will commence on Wednesday, August 9th, beginning with the transport from Cushen’s Funeral Home to Island Crematorium in Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
