Notice: James “Jamsie” Shortall passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2023, at Highfield Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his son, Denis. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Kathleen, their children William, James, Joey, Cathy, and Janet, as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and neighbors. A funeral service will be held at St. Matthew’s Church, Ballyfermot, on July 29th, followed by a cremation at Newlands Cross Crematorium. The family kindly asks for donations to the Grattan Unit or Adison Unit in Highfield Nursing Home in lieu of flowers. They would also like to express their gratitude to the staff at the nursing home for their exceptional care and support.
Reposing will take place at Stafford’s Funeral Home in Ballyfermot on July 28th. Due to current circumstances, only a limited number of attendees can be accommodated at the funeral, but condolences can be left on the page or shared via traditional means for those unable to attend.
