Jim Kirwan {also known as James} of Sandymount Road in Dublin 4 and formerly of Carlow, passed away on August 20th, 2023. He received compassionate care from the staff at Mount Tabor Nursing Home in Sandymount and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Jim, a beloved husband to Mary and a devoted father to Mary Patricia, David, Anne, Clare, and Rita, will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his sons-in-law Donal and Henry, grandchildren Ciara, Daniel, Hugh, James, and Matthew, as well as his brother Billy, sister Nancy, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Emily and Jack, his brother John, and his sister Babsie.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 23rd at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church in Sandymount, following a private viewing at Jim’s home on Tuesday, August 22nd. The viewing will occur from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. After the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, Jim will be laid to rest in Rathoe Cemetery in Tullow, Carlow.
