It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jim {James} McCooey, who resided at 9 Belgium Park, Monaghan, H18W822.
Surrounded by his devoted wife Olive and their loving family, Jim peacefully departed from this world.
He is now reunited with his parents Susan and John, as well as his sister Kathleen, who preceded him in death.
Jim will always be remembered as a cherished and dearly loved husband by Olive. He was a loving father to his daughters Dolores McConnon, Teresa McCooey, Christine McKenna, Susan McCooey, and his son Jim.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, daughters, son, daughter-in-law Marie, son-in-law Martin McKenna, his twelve adoring grandchildren – Noel, Leona, Lisa, Darren, Sean, Áine, Iain, Aoife, Alana, Alexandra, Conor, and Georgina – as well as his five great-grandchildren: Lucy, Sé, Éire, Saorla, and Halle. He also leaves behind numerous relatives, neighbors, and dear friends who will hold his memory close.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
A visitation for Jim will be held at the family home, 9 Belgium Park {H18W822}, on Saturday, August 5th and Sunday, August 6th, from 2pm to 9pm. Please note that family time will be respected at all other hours. His removal will take place on Monday morning at 10.15am, proceeding to St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for the 11am Funeral Mass. Jim will be laid to rest in Latlurcan Cemetery following the service.
