Joan Thornton of Lucan, formerly of Shankill, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving children, Paul, Michelle, and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert. Joan will be forever missed and fondly remembered by her beloved grandchildren, Chloe, Daniel, Brooke, Laya, Jace, and Cameron, as well as her son-in-law, Brian, sisters Lorraine, Christine, and Wendy, brother Jason, mother Doreen, extended family, and friends. The funeral service will be held at Newlands Cross Crematorium on July 31st, with cremation to follow. Attendees are asked to wear bright colors in honor of Joan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Irish Cancer Society. Condolences can be shared through Massey Bros, Clondalkin.
